Towson University has been named one of the Top 50 Best Value Public Colleges by Princeton Review, as reported in USA Today. The Princeton Review, one of America's most widely-known education services and test-prep companies, has teamed up with USA TODAY, the nation's most widely-read newspaper, to present The Princeton's Review's 100 "Best Value Colleges for 2009."

The "Best Value" colleges list, reported in today's USA TODAY and on PrincetonReview.com/bestvaluecolleges and BestValueColleges.usatoday.com features 50 public and 50 private colleges and universities. The Princeton Review selected these institutions as its "best value" choices for 2009 based on its surveys of administrators and students at more than 650 public and private colleges and universities. The selection criteria covered more than 30 factors in three areas: academics, costs of attendance, and financial aid, using the most recently reported data from each institution for its 2007-08 academic year.

Man in wheelchair robs Texas 7-Eleven of condoms

A robber rolled into a Dallas convenience store came armed with a bat and a knife. He left with a lot of condoms and an energy drink.

Dallas police Cpl. Kevin Janse said Friday that a man in a wheelchair entered a Dallas 7-Eleven Wednesday afternoon, rolled straight toward the cash register and beat it with a baseball bat until it opened.

But he didn't grab any cash. Instead, police say he stole 10 boxes of condoms and an energy drink before making his getaway Wednesday afternoon.

Janse says the suspect may have been homeless and was likely intoxicated at the time of the robbery.

lol. good story. maura, her cousin and i walk into this little shop called 'the peacock' shop because...well it's called the peacock shop. so we walk in and no one's there. and it's such a tiny store that if someone was there, we'd be able to tell. so there were 3 rooms, the front room which was lit, and then 2 little back rooms where there was no light. soooo we start looking around and turns out that they have a lot of cute hippie nick nacks and maura of course wants everything. so we're half expecting to find a dead body cuz at least 10 mins has gone by w/o anyone coming in or out of the store, and i even rang the doorbell like 5 times... so finally, after 10, 15 mins, we hear a door slam out back and we're like oh fuck, the murderer is here to kill us too... but in walks this little 'old' woman and she apologizes for not being in the store... apparently the huge storm blew shingles off her roof and destroyed her deck... sooo, yeah that sucks. anyways. the woman started telling us how she's owned the shop since the 70s and made basically everything in there herself...so maura decides to buy some sushi soap and something else and the womans just talking... cuz thats what she does, and then the woman tells her, 'i also do readings...here's my card' so maura takes her card and as we're turning to leave the woman randomly goes, 'is there a john, or a jack in your life??" and of course maura has to say yes because there's a john or a jack in everyones freakin lives. so the woman starts to go on about how "there's some bad vibes between her and john...but not so much with jack! but not to blame her...cuz she's just the messenger... maura's angels came down and told her these things...." anways. i almost lost it when she started going all psychic on her ass...so we left the store and escaped the crazy hippie lady and safely made it back to her cousins house. the end :)
